The "Tuonela Trail", founded in 1997, boasts the Maritime's only serviced Telemark hill. It was developed over ten years with help from local skiers. The gladed Telemark Hill, its summit at 900ASL, has a 1400ft run over a 400ft vertical through a magnificent hardwood forest. The 25km of x-country trails are groomed on a regular basis. Designed mainly for classic technique, some are wide enough to permit skating. Whatever level of skier you are, we have something for you. Telemark Skis and boots are available at the Lodge for rent & CANSI certified telemark instructors are available to help you develop your telemarking skills! The Wilderness Ski Village, 4km from the Cabot Trail, nestles at the base of the Telemark Hill with the main Lodge, the "Tanzhaus" or games cabin and a wood fired Sauna. Five comfortable cabins can accommodate up to 22 persons.
We are open year round for hiking, birding, retreats and nature packages.
