Gampo AbbeyThe Gampo Abbey (a Buddhist Monastery) in Pleasant Bay was founded in 1984, as a place where individuals could explore monastic life by taking vows on a temporary or life-long basis. Located on 230 acres of woodland overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the abbey offers solitude and earthly splendor which are ideal for contemplation, meditation and study.

Hours of Operation:
Jun 15 to Sep 15: Monday to Friday guided tours 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Grounds are open anytime.
