Hike the Highlands Festival Print Version

Every fall, this 10-day festival features guided-hikes and celebrations on Cape Breton Island. With informed guides and varying degrees of difficulty, these hikes are available for both beginners and seasoned-trekkers alike.

Monday, Sept. 14 10:00 am. Sugarloaf , 10:00 am. Cabot Landing ,2:00 pm. Nordic Walking (poles) Clinic, NHN Trails, Cape North 

Tuesday, Sept. 15 10:00 am. Lone Shielding ,10:45 am. MacIntosh Brook , 2:00 pm. Robert's Mountain 

Wednesday, Sept. 16 10:00 am. Salmon Pool ,10:00 am. Red River to Black Brook , 2:00 pm. Red River to Otter Brook 

Thursday, Sept. 17 9:00 am. Skyline ,10:00 am. Fishing Cove , 2:00 pm. Le Chemin Du Buttereau 

Friday, Sept. 18 10:00 am. Franey , 10:00 am. Freshwater Lake and Look-off , 2:00 pm. Smokey Towers 

Saturday, Sept. 19 10:00 am. Guided Wilderness Adventures , 10:00 am. Clyburn Valley 

Sunday, Sept. 20 9:00 am. North River Big Falls , 10:00 am. Red Island
